The Vines

In the early days of the studio's history, Karlssonwilker was tasked with designing the branding and CD packaging for The Vines's debut album. After listening to the tracks, the band's raw and rowdy sound inspired us to add angry red scratches over the members' faces. These scribbles became the main design theme that appeared on the CD packaging (including the world's first ever printed CD shrinkwrap) as well as promotional posters and products. The design of the CD sleeve was made in collaboration with The Vines's frontman Craig Nicholls, who after an emotional meeting with record executives ended up spending an entire day hanging around the studio.
